SHV 4-14x50mm F1 .1 Mil-Radian Centre only illumination - Mil-R

Capitalizing on the award-winning success of our current SHV family, the new SHV 4-14x50 F1 delivers first focal plane performance in a versatile, mid-power package suitable for a wide range of shooting applications.

This riflescope brings a first focal plane option to the SHV family. This feature gives the shooter the option of precisely holding for elevation and wind at any magnification setting by using the intelligence built into the reticle.

This SHV is offered with a choice of either the MOAR or MIL-R reticle, which are two of our most popular designs. Both reticle options are standard with illumination.

This new SHV incorporates a feature set built for versatility, starting with a 4-14x magnification range that offers an excellent combination of field of view and resolving power at higher magnification. The 50mm objective offers excellent light transmission at any time of day.

The overall length is 14.8 inches, and the optic weighs in at 30 ounces. This SHV has a 30mm main tube, which allows for a maximum adjustment range of 90 minutes or 26 Mil-radians, and the adjustments are quarter-minute of angle or tenth mil-radian based upon reticle choice. Ten minutes of angle or 5 mil-radians of adjustment per revolution is standard.

Features

  • The Nightforce ZeroSet feature is also standard and allows for a rapid return to zero in any condition from any distance. The exposed elevation adjustment allows quick access, and a capped windage prevents accidental adjustments during travel or in the field.
  • Parallax is adjustable from 25 yards to infinity, and it does so without any backlash or hesitation. Also, the external illumination dial has 12 brightness settings.
  • The power zoom ring allows for quick and precise magnification adjustments, and a clamp-on Power Throw Lever is available as an accessory. The fast focus eyepiece design is standard, as on every SHV model.
  • Whether you're making adjustments on the fly for a quick shot on uncooperative game or venturing into the fast action found in the precision rifle sports, you can trust the SHV 4-14x50 F1 to deliver precision at speed.
  • Staying true to our quality pledge, our SHV riflescopes undergo a rigorous inspection process before they can wear the Nightforce name.
  • SHV Product Family - Recipient of the Award of Excellence in the Optic Product Of The Year category from Sporting Classics

Why SHV?

  • Greater strength and superior resistance to point of impact shifts
  • All metal dials found under weatherproof caps

Quality and Precision Nightforce riflescopes will never be 'cheap'. The quality of materials, the precise tolerances, the skilled workmanship, and the need to withstand a lifetime of recoil make it physically impossible to build a world-class riflescope that is 'cheap'.

Worthy to Wear the Name One of the most difficult challenges we've ever faced was building a riflescope that is worthy of the Nightforce name in every regard yet within the reach of a wider range of hunters and shooters who don't need the 'overbuilt' characteristics of our NXS series, most of which were originally created to withstand actual combat conditions.

Mission Accomplished It wasn't easy. But we did it. By limiting some options, offering simpler controls, and using a less complex manufacturing process not by reducing the quality of its components. Experience the same premium quality and absolute precision only a Nightforce riflescope can deliver, now in a simpler, more economical package.

About Nightforce

Nightforce was born in 1992 with the vision that everything we build will meet this promise. For nearly three decades, we have designed and built optics and mounting systems that have been tested in the harshest conditions on earth.
Whether you are preparing for a deployment, your next shift, a world championship, or the hunt of a lifetime, thank you for putting your trust in the optical performance, consistent tracking, and durability of your Nightforce. If you are purchasing your first Nightforce, we are excited for you to experience why we are the choice of USSOCOM, numerous other special operations units worldwide, world champion competitive shooters, and the world's most discerning hunters.

Never Compromising Quality

There is no such thing as mass production at Nightforce. Only a skilled human eye and experienced hands are discerning enough to perform many of the critical operations involved in assembling a precision optical instrument.
Before they leave the factory, Nightforce riflescopes are subjected to conditions far beyond most anything you will ever encounter in the field. During our impact tests, riflescopes must endure repeated impacts of over 1200 Gs of force on multiple axes. After each severe impact, the riflescope is hand-checked for tracking accuracy and overall integrity. We rigorously test and inspect to ensure your Nightforce will work when you need it most.
