Shipping & Delivery

**COVID-19**

Current Update 3-4-19

Under new guidelines released by MBIE, Hamills Taupo has registered and is now able to dispatch a limited range of essential non-food goods to see you through the cold weather. This will include:

  • Winter clothing
  • Footwear
  • Sleeping bags
  • Torches and headlamps

We will be operating under strict guidelines:

  • We will only take orders online or by phone.
  • Take orders only for essential non-food goods – if there are items in your order that we deem as non-essential, we will contact you directly.
  • We will take all appropriate public health measures to protect ourselves and customers – we will be operating the web sales within our immediate family bubble, practise hygiene around handling orders, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Home deliver all essential goods in a contactless way.
  • We will be reducing our travel time and will only be dispatching orders on Monday and Thursday.

Please please please be mindful that what you are ordering is really essential for you. We want to play our part in ensuring this pandemic is under control as quickly as possible so that all businesses can open and operate promptly again. We are aware that for some people, wet weather gear is essential for their work and warm clothing for kids who have outgrown clothes is essential on these cold mornings and nights. However, if you are happy to wait a few weeks for dispatch (until Alert Level 4 has been lifted), please clearly note this in your order.

As our immediate family bubble includes a 1 year old and a 3 year old, please also be patient with us. Our processing time may be a little longer than usual 😅

Our Shipping Policy

At Hamills, we want to keep it as easy as possible for you, so we offer:

  • Free shipping on orders over $100 to New Zealand addresses.
  • Free shipping on orders over $250 to Australian addresses.
  • Free shipping on orders over $400 to UK addresses.
  • For all orders under $100 for NZ deliveries, we charge a flat rate of $7.50 to non-rural addresses (some heavy items may incur additional charges. We will advise before shipping). Rural delivery will incur an additional surcharge of $5, regardless of the order value.
  • For all orders under $250 for AU deliveries, we charge a flat rate of $25 (some heavy or bulky items may incur additional charges. We will advise before shipping).
  • We ship internationally. All our international delivery costs are determined by destination, and the size of your parcel.
  • International shipping rates will be displayed upon checkout. We offer two options: non-tracked or tracked. If the non-tracking option is selected, this is at the customer’s risk. Any applicable customs charges or local taxes are the responsibility of the customer and is not covered in your purchase price by Hamills Taupo.
  • All Australian and International orders travel via NZ Post Couriers (non-tracked) or DHL Express couriers (tracked).*
  • All New Zealand orders travel with Fastway couriers or Post Haste.

*Please note: All orders are dispatched from New Zealand.

Estimated Delivery Times (New Zealand)

We know you’re going to be super keen to get your new purchase so that’s why we will process and dispatch orders usually within 2-5 business days of your order being received. Actual delivery time will depend on your location.

Once your order has been processed and dispatched, indicative delivery times are as follows:

  • North Island orders: 1-3 working days from dispatch.
  • South Island orders: 2-5 working days from dispatch.
  • Rural delivery or remote locations can take just a little longer so please allow an additional 2 working days.

Please Note: If your order contains any clearance items this may delay the dispatch of your order.

Orders will be processed Monday – Friday.

Unfortunately, overnight or Saturday deliveries cannot be guaranteed.

We are unable to post to PO Box addresses.

International Orders

Displayed pricing applies to New Zealand resident customers (NZD) only. International orders will be processed in the New Zealand dollar.

We offer two shipping options: non-tracked or tracked. By selecting the non-tracked option, you agree to carry the risk associated with the parcel’s travel.

When an order is shipped outside of New Zealand or Australia you may be charged duties or taxes by your local government before the items will be released to you, as these are beyond our control please check with your local customs department prior to ordering should you have any concerns. These charges are not the responsibility of Hamills Taupo.
